The Skincare Products You Need to Survive Winter

I don’t know about you, but I’ve fully spa’d out here during quarantine. I’ve truly dedicated all my time watching TikTok skincare hacks and spending my Sephora beauty points. This is equal parts distraction and educational, because when winter hits, my dry skin reaches a whole new level of dryness. If you’re like me — your skin loves to play games with you, but in the winter time it is a whole new level The dryness. The flakiness. The rashes. THE ALL OF IT. So, i needed a solution.

I’d like to consider myself a dermatologist but I did NOT go to medical school and I definitely don’t know what I’m talking about. With all that said, I have tried a few products for my poor dried raisin like skin that actually work and let's face it, we all need a little moisture for our skin during this rough winter. They’re below — LET’S GET THROUGH THIS WINTER TOGETHER!

Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm

If you had a day of Zoom meetings and had to touch up your makeup a few times...HELLO, you need this. This cleansing balm literally melts the day off your face. It’s fresh and wonderful and the best part? Will leave your skin feeling GOOD, unlike a lot of makeup removers that can sometimes feel like sandpaper.

Fresh Soy Makeup Removing Face Wash

Like the brand name implies, Fresh will keep you fresh.

I will always stand by this brand. Fresh has never done me wrong. Their products are amazing for sensitive dry skin in the winter and I loooove this face wash.

Coconut Gel Sheet Mask

I love this mask. I literally use it every night before bed. Pro tip: I stick it in the fridge for 15 minutes before I use it and OH MY GOODNESS. Feels like I’m at the spa. I let this baby chill on my face for 25 minutes. If you’re looking for an at home spa day for you’re dry winter skin, look no further.

Kiehls Ultra Face Cream

I know there are a lot of trendy moisturizers out there with insane ingredients like snail juice and beyond... but Kiehls knows what they're doing. Trust me, I’ve tried the trendy skincare products and they didn’t work for me. Sometimes you gotta keep it simple AND chic — and that is Kiehls to us!

Drunk Elephant F-Balm™ Electrolyte Waterfacial Mask

I love Drunk Elephant mainly because it’s brand name is how I would most likely identify myself on most days. This is because I’m usually drunk, but I have the memory of an Elephant — which is super helpful when I need to remember where I parked at the mall, but less so when I’m trying to sleep and have a major flashback to something I said in sixth grade. REGARDLESS — this Waterfacial mask has changed my life. I was skeptical at first and was debating if the price was worth it but me and my baby face can now say; YES, YES, & YES! It is not only part of my Winter Survival Guide but just like, what I plan on using 365.
